Bhagwan Mahaveer wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park

 

Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary is located in Sanguem taluk, south Goa district near of the Karnataka state border. It is spread in 240 square kilometers area land. It was established in 1978 by Govt of Goa. It is a biggest wildlife sanctuary in Goa state which has several types of the animals, birds, trees, butterflies, Dudhsagar Falls and Tambdi Surla Temple.

How to reach:- This wildlife sanctuaries is located on national highway – 4A. It is just 43 kilometers distance from Margao city which is a main railway junction but its nearest local railway station is Doodh Sagar. Its distance from Panjim capital city is just 68 kilometers. Its distance from Dabolim international and domestic airport is just 67 kilometers.

Dudhsagar Falls:- is a tallest waterfall in India which also called sea of milk. It is just 310 meters height and width is 30 meters approx. It has total 4 drops which has water source of the Mandovi River.

Mahadev Temple, Tambdi Surla:- It is oldest temple of the Goa state which built in 12th century by Hindu religion King Ramachandra. This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. This temple survived from invader because it is located in remote area location.
